A Hill In Korea Poster

UK Quad poster for "A Hill In Korea" (1956). This is a film poster with bags of interest. The first British film to deal with British involvement in the Korean War (it is set in 1951). This was pretty much the "forgotten war". Though heroically fought, the absence of a clear "victory", meant that Britain remained pre-occupied with films about WWII & few Korean War films followed.

The film was blessed with a musical score by Malcolm Arnold & cinematography was by Freddie Francis (of Hammer fame). Michael Caine appeared in a small role, this being one of his earliest big screen outings (as Caine had done National Service in Korea he was also credited as "technical advisor" in the film).

The poster remains in very good condition (a couple of small conservation tape repairs to reverse & a tack-hole to upper right corner). This is a rare Quad title not often seen in the market.

NB. Due to the size/value of this item a supplementary P&P charge will be required for overseas buyers as this cannot be sent via Royal Mail.
